I actually have never bought a dress form but have been meaning to (ironically the former owners throw out a dress form that was in the attic not knowing obviously that I sew.  I was thinking of getting an adjustable one to match my measurements.  This is so much better!  I am so doing this.  I love this idea.  It looks so easy too!  You can get the full tutorial at Etsy Labs.
